Meeting with MastersounD

Today we had a very pleasant meeting with one of the new key persons inside MastersounD. It was a good exchange of ideas and some ways of future cooperation, there was a really good understanding of some ways ahead. Stay tuned and You will soon know more.

X-Fi Veldhoven - a crowded event

The easiest thing is to quote our distributor, Marco, the owner of Music2.nl

The Setup? Feickert Blackbird, Jelco, Zyx, Octave Jubilees, BH Gran Gioia's... More or less my idea of the best possible set-up you can imagine...
Statements? We were told about 100 times:
- "absolutely the best sound if the show"
- "finally a set-up that sounds as it should be"
We had about 4000 visitors in total, think they all came to our room and, well, it was SO crowded in the room that it became almost impossible to do a demo at all!!
It is true... 105m2 and sometimes having over 100 people in...

This was 10 minutes after the show started...

Göteborg HiFi Show

We were in room Björkö, in the boot of OldSchoolHiFi at the Scandic Opalen Hotel.
The Setup was impressive, pure analog sources:
- Pluto Turntable with Pluto Tonearm and Ikeda 9TT cartridge
- Audiomat Phono Preamplifier
- Reed Turntable with Reed Tonearm and Van den Hul Condor Cartridge
- Octave Phono Preamplifier
- Audiomat integrated Amplifier
- Cammino cabling
- Cammino Power Harmonizer
- Loudspeakers Genuin FS 3 MK 2.

The biggest problem we had was the electricity quality. The room had very old unearthed sockets. Fact is that we had quite some grounding problems and an enormous hmm during setup…
…and these problems have been solved: we got our power from the corridor with a 15m long power cable brought in the local warehouse.

Despite these problems, we have been able to reach a quite satisfactory level of sound reproduction quality with that impressive analogue setup and the people were pleased by the sound that put the Music in focus…

This event has been possible thanks to our Dutch distributor, Marco de Wilde: he took over were Jan could not be part of the event. We are getting a nice Blumenhofer family that support each other, when for any personal reason some of us can’t, the other jump in. This is friendship!!

Things change in the UK

Sometimes it is better to go for new opportunities. Tim and us, therefore we decided together not to continue anymore. Jordan Acoustics is not more our distributor for the United Kingdom. We will see what will come up in the future in the UK.

Schule Lautsprecherbau

Some Students of a school in Augsburg attended to some teaching session about how to build loudspeakers.
They appreciated the experience and it has been good for us as well to get new ideas.

Viet Challenge 211 ART

The name sounds like a new tube amplifier but it is not. In fact it is the last mosaic tile for our production. Now we have the whole wood processing in our hands.
The Viet Challenge 211 ART is a professional calibrating machine that allows us to work with higher precision in our constructions.

Tafos Audio's Event: The Munich After

Tafos Audio, our partner for Slovenia, organized a flabbergasting event. We spent the whole day in an olive tree plantation. A wonderful relaxing landscape. Not to mention the rich food catering organized by a friend and the astonishing quality of the music reproduction in the cave… Just to get Your mouth watering:

Report about our Munich High End on Part Time Audiophile

Panagiotis visited us in our booth at the Munich High End 2016. He was surprised how well the Blumenhofer are playing with triodes and the pairing with Air Tight. Old style HiFi is simply great. He did not want to believe that the big loudspeaker in the window was meant for a customer. In fact it is, soon I'll post some pictures of this fabulous Cinema near Munich.
