 Marco from Music2.nl presented two setups at the Duch Audio Event in Veldhoven.

Blumenhofer at the HiFi auf dem Bauernhof on the 16th-17th November

We will present our Genuin FS 3 MK 2 at the 'Tag der offenen Türen" at HiFi auf dem Bauernhof in Altusried. The actual setup of the system is still not clear, but for sure we will give our best!!

This are the words of the Bauernhof-Team:

Natürlich werden wir auch 2019 wieder einen spannenden Tag der offenen Tür veranstalten. Auf der immer währenden Suche nach ausserordentlich guten Produkten sind wir auch dieses Jahr wieder fündig geworden. Milano HiFi presentation of the Genuin FS 1 MK 2

Our Milan dealer, Enea Spinelli from Spinelli HiFi, participated to the Milano Hi-Fidelity show this year. An event from the Sound of the Valve by Stefano Zaini, this event presents HiFi in Milano since more than 16 years.
It has been an amazing weekend with some very good music and food. I enjoyed the chance as well to test some of the music for the Munich High End.
No big news in the setup but for the new racks of Solidsteel and feet of Omicron. Nothing very mind blowing, but a lot of small things to increase the level of the presentation.

Octave and Marantz electronics, Transrotor and Rega sources, Cammino cabling and power treatment. Blumenhofer loudspeakers.

Live VS Analog - Ritsart

Il Galà di Spinelli - Milano

After the big success of the Gran Galà dell'Alta Fedeltà in Milano, Spinelli, our local dealer, invited his customers to listen to the system of the show.
The setups were 3 and the loudspeakers playing were 4. All Cammino Cabling, all Octave amplification. Really amazing systems, all really enjoyable.
We spent the day talking with people and listening to music. That was good… meanwhile, our children were amazingly playing: everyone had his fun!!

Mitteldeutsche HiFi Tage

Armin Kern, our sales representative in the northern part of Germany, presented nearly our complete product portfolio at the Mitteldeutsche HiFi Tage in Leipzig.
He just told me that the success was amazing and that there will be some follow up in the near future.

Guangzhou AV Fair - China

Weihong Audio presented our loudspeakers in the ‘Ruby Hall’ at the China Hotel.

Thomas was there and if I look at the pictures it must have been a real success event. Killing for the big effort but for sure with enormous presence of people and customers.
The setup was based on Einstein amplification, Cammino cabling and power treatment.
There were 2 sets of loudspeakers playing: during the show the loudspeakers have regularly been swapped, sometimes the Genuin FS 1 MK 2 sometimes the Einsteins. Two different listening habits and two different ways of presenting music.

Then there was a second Blumenhofer room with Ottavio amplification where You could have enjoyed a completely different philosophy of sound.

Opening High End Audio Zimmermann Studio in Schaffausen, Switzerland

This is the statement of Mr. Zimmermann, the owner of the shop. He seemed quite happy about the result and the visitors.

Audio Show Warsaw

I do not want to say how good we were, and how I enjoyed the show. It was really hard work! They have been really long days and really rich of new experiences and lessons.
As usual we met several people and some friends came as well from my hometown. Really, I enjoyed every single bit of these days…

The first frightening thing was seeing the room of our distributor: full up to the roof with lots of material to be distributed in the 5 or 6 rooms he rented to present his several brands. You can see some pictures.
Then we got the room at 8:00 PM to start the show at 2:00 PM the next day. I tell You, it was a run!

But in the end, despite the problems that affected the setup, the system played.
During the show I had the chance to present the Foné LP and SACD collection, I tell You, great recordings, great philosophy behind them. And, most of all, a real music lover realizing them.
These are some of the titles of Foné that I presented:

• 4 Seasons of Vivaldi, performed by Salvatore Accardo
• Campanella of Paganini, performed by Salvatore Accardo on the Stradivari Vesuvio
• Frescobaldi per Noi, Music of Frescobaldi interpreted by an Italian quartet
• Vir Dei Benedictus, a fantastic recording which I chose by mistake and hit me for his musicality
• Musica Nuda, well… there is nothing to say about this, absolutely a Must Have

We were not the best sound of the show, and we did not achieve the performance level of last year, but the people were satisfied and loved the sound of our system.
In the end, I've been able to grab the attention of the people with a fable for music and a common understanding of what does mean to listen to music.
Henk & Marja from 6moons.com spent a longer time listening to the music I was proposing them, taking pictures of each single cover.
Ken Kessler said that he would be interested to listen to our gears at his place… in case that we get a distributor in the UK ;-) - Stay tuned

And the most amazing thing… a friend whom I did not expect to meet, peered into my room during setup attracted by the tones and the musicality and was as surprised to meet me as I was surprised to meet him: Lorenzo Sanavio from MastersounD

All in all, I must say that it was a good show… and I'm really looking forward to be there again in one year time!

Sintonie Musicali - Lanciano

That was amazing and I was really surprised by the show. And the concert of Paolo Fresu? I've loved to hear it!

I think that by now You know my way of thinking: always the smallest possible loudspeaker to play an astonishing setup in the room available.
Here they had me confirmed in a bigger room… and in the end for some kind of problems I just had a small room. With really big loudspeakers, the Genuin FS 1 MK 2.
I do not want to complain, but just to tell You, for my normal way of doing, I would have got a Tempesta 20, for example. Or maximum, a Genuin FS 3 MK 2… but a Genuin FS 1 MK 2 was promised and I accepted the challenge.

As I entered the room the system was already playing and warming up… holy s**t, the bass was long like an aircraft carrier, the 3D feeling was blurred like a gray cat in a foggy day.
Let's try to set up differently and use the short side of the room… nonononononono: the rack was to wide to fit on that side with the whole components.
Back to the long side and let's start work.
I pulled all registers and I tried to use all the strangest solutions that fell into my mind to get the sound I liked. Lots of "tools" found there to get the right sound were hidden behind curtains and couches and inside cabinet… in the end it worked ;-)

In the end I've been able to achieve a sound that satisfied me… in both rooms!!! Given the boundary conditions, the limitation of room and system and the fact that I've not been allowed to use my toys, I think I got the best out of what was available… with lots of headroom for the joy of the customers, when they will get the loudspeakers at their home ;-)

I'm talking about 2 rooms:
Setup Room 184 - my room:
- Marantz SA-10 SACD Player for the first time in Italy
- EAT C-Sharp Turntable with Ortofon Cadenza Red cartridge
- EAR Yoshino MC Phono Preamplifier
- MastersounD Spettro Line Preamplifier
- MastersounD 845 Monoblocks Plus
- Genuin FS 1 MK 2 Loudspeakers

Setup Room 136 - MastersounD's room:
- Marantz SACD Player
- M2Tech DAC and Streamer
- MastersounD Compact 300B integrated stereo amplifier
- Genuin FS 3 MK 2

My feedback to the show? I was happy. It was a huge amount of work to setup and perform.
The public participating to the event was really highly interested and expert in terms of listening and music loving. Some of them have really impressive systems at home and invited me to meet them there, the next time.
And we played a lot of music without any kind of limitation in terms of what to play and volume. The system and the room in the end permitted it.

Giulio Cesare Ricci from Fonè presented some LPs:
- Musica Nuda with Magoni and Spinetti
- 5 LPs remastered from the original tape of Vaso Rossi (one leading Italian Rocker)
And we played together some of the tracks of his last productions, as example the remastered live album of Vasco Rossi at concert decibel level: people were rocking with closed eyes in the chairs and it was really involving and… like being there!!

Well… lot of music, lot of emotion, lot of talks and lots of amazing moments. Thank You Marco for the great show and the great organization.

Small anticipation? I think in a Theater in March… not far from Lanciano… we will make a Mini-Sintonie with something big paired… stay tuned!!

Röhrentage at MuSiCa NoVa - Schweig bei Nürnberg

Harald Pensel, from MuSiCa NoVa started his regular RöhrenTage events with our Genuin FS 3 MK 2.
It is an impressive studio, what he presents to the customers and the choices are maybe even too much!

His statement of the day was:

War toll, viel mehr Besucher als erwartet

That means that it was good and he enjoyed the day and he had more people than expected.

HiFi Nationaal Leeuwarden

In Leeuwarden, Holland, there the Nationaal HiFi Multimedia Event. Our distributor Music2.nl participated.

Small set-up this time, but very nice sound!
Also introduction of the new Octave V110 SE with adjustable damping factor!
The most beautiful part is to have a turntable matching the loudspeakers. It is something that only the cooperation between us and Dr. Feickert can deliver! Playing it is a Woodpecker.

Göteborg HiFi Show

We were in room Björkö, in the boot of OldSchoolHiFi at the Scandic Opalen Hotel.
The Setup was impressive, pure analog sources:
- Pluto Turntable with Pluto Tonearm and Ikeda 9TT cartridge
- Audiomat Phono Preamplifier
- Reed Turntable with Reed Tonearm and Van den Hul Condor Cartridge
- Octave Phono Preamplifier
- Audiomat integrated Amplifier
- Cammino cabling
- Cammino Power Harmonizer
- Loudspeakers Genuin FS 3 MK 2.

The biggest problem we had was the electricity quality. The room had very old unearthed sockets. Fact is that we had quite some grounding problems and an enormous hmm during setup…
…and these problems have been solved: we got our power from the corridor with a 15m long power cable brought in the local warehouse.

Despite these problems, we have been able to reach a quite satisfactory level of sound reproduction quality with that impressive analogue setup and the people were pleased by the sound that put the Music in focus…

This event has been possible thanks to our Dutch distributor, Marco de Wilde: he took over were Jan could not be part of the event. We are getting a nice Blumenhofer family that support each other, when for any personal reason some of us can’t, the other jump in. This is friendship!!

Review of the Genuin FS 3 MK 2 on AUDIO TEST

On the AUDIO TEST magazine number 04-2016 on page 78 and following You can find a review of our Genuin FS 3 MK 2 written by Mr. Jörg Schumacher. Our loudspeaker earned a Reference Mention. Reading the article arises the impression that the journalist had really fun with our Genuin.
