Burning music at the HiFi Schmiede
The HiFi Schmiede is situated in an idillic village not far from Karlsruhe, in the south west of Germany. In the ancient time there was a smith, an important one for the region. If You visit the store, other than real good music and ambient, You find remainings of this older use of the area.
The focus was music, and lots has been played. The original idea was to have 20 minutes music and then 40 minutes discussions. In the end there was music from the beginning to the end and always again one question in between.
The whole system was composed by:
- Lindemann 825 CD Player
- Rega RP8 Turntable with Quezo cartridge
- Octave Phonomodule
- Octave V110 Power amplifier
- Genuin FS 2
- Cammino cabling and power supply
With these components and with the fantastic LP collection of Mr. Baumer, it is useless to say how good it has been. If You are even just a little bit curious, You can check the pictures on our gallery here

Vedere per credere, sentire per immaginare
Lots of first times this time in Palermo.
First time in Palermo, the first impression was great.
First time Sony 4k projection presentation, wow gorgeous
First time…
…first time appeared a Blumenhofer product (and myself) in TV.
Here, You can see the reportage of this interview on YouTube.
Here, You can see the reportage directly embedded in the news. Scroll to 23rd minutes and soon after will start the interview.
All of this happened at Pick-Up HiFi, a 47 years old HiFi institution in Palermo, founded from Father Cefalù which Vincenzo e Fabio are continuing with love and engagement. Here extensive information about the event, in Italian
Besides that, which is only a small part of the huge amount of surprises we enjoyed, there were dozens of beautiful people and beautiful opportunity during the 2 days. Stay tuned to read the review of a listening section on AVMagazine.
The affluence of public has been enthusiastic and the people were really fit on music listening, able to appreciate the quality and ready to give good hints. We had lots of nice talks. If You have the impression that the pictures are of empty rooms, it is because we took them late in the evening when we had already spent all of our strengths
Thank You Vincenzo, Fabio, Carlo for making this possible. See You soon!!
If I made You curious, You can visit Pick-Up HiFi and/or take a look at our gallery of the event
